Electric mobility continues to be successful in Italy: in fact, three out of ten car parks in our country are equipped with an electric charging system.
According to what was reported by the newspaper "la Repubblica", this is stated in the latest investigation carried out by parclick, an online parking booking platform, which confirms the presence of charging systems for electric cars in approximately 32% of Italian car parks.
E-mobility increasingly important
In particular, according to research, in Italy there are currently more than 19.300 electric charging points in 9.700 stations open to the public. Of these charging stations, 80% are located in public areas, such as streets, compared to 20% within private land that is still open to the public, such as supermarkets or commercial areas.
The most active Region in the world of e-mobility confirms itself Lombardia, respectively with more than 3.300 active charging points, followed by Piedmont, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Veneto, Tuscany and Campania. In particular, the individual cities most attentive to electric mobility are Milan, Rome, Florence and Naples.
The data collected by parclick confirm the growing importance that electric mobility is acquiring in our country. In fact, according to data fromNational Union of Foreign Motor Vehicle Representatives (UNRAE), electric vehicles represent 2020% of new registrations in Italy in 0,7. This figure, although it seems insignificant when compared to the total registrations, confirms the growing trend of e-mobility compared to previous years, suggesting further progress in 2021.
But charging stations and areas are not the only indicators of the e-mobility boom in Italy: in fact, interest in this form of transport is also growing thanks to the numerous sustainable mobility services based on electric vehicles.
