From 16 to 22 September 2021 the annual appointment with the European Mobility Week will be celebrated.
Now in its 20th edition, the event is among the most important anniversaries in the field of sustainability and transport. The purpose of this anniversary is to continue to raise awareness of cities, administrations and citizens regarding the issue of sustainable mobility and the adoption of new eco-friendly transport solutions.
For 2021 the selected theme is “Move sustainable…and healthy”: European citizens are encouraged to keep physically and mentally fit by exploring the beauty of cities, and to show consideration for the environment and the health of others when choosing between different modes of transport.
The choice of the slogan "Move sustainably... and healthy" also pays homage to the difficulties that the whole world has had to face during the COVID-19 pandemic and is also an invitation to reflect on the opportunities for change arising from this health crisis without precedents.
In the previous edition, 3.000 cities, distributed in 53 countries around the world, joined the initiative, participating in the event with different projects (for more information you can visit the official website of the event European Mobility Week).
